Paperless Classroom-The Future of Public Education....Today!

Mission

The advancement of technology delivers us a wonderful tool to utilize for classroom instruction. I have decided to create my own application of the technologies available to enhance our classroom. Standard 2, of the Cross-Content Workplace Readiness Standards from the New Jersey Department of Education New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards states: All Students Will Use Information, Technology, And Other Tools. This site will provide students with practice of all 10 Cumulative Progress Indicators as well as further practice of the curriculum.

  • Individual Instruction: Students will receive further development of the objectives listed in their educational plans. This site contains practice for some of the more common goals for students in our class. Example Goals: Use technology to motivate student reading practice. Improve communication and writing skills through use of technology. Develop and demonstrate keyboarding proficiency. Use technology to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Use current and relevant technology to practice skills and learn content area materials.

*All children in our class will have an opportunity to participate in my "Paperless Classroom" which can be accessed here anytime via the Internet. This "Paperless Classroom" is not a replacement of my traditional teaching nor is it a required element of the class. I strongly suggest its supervised use as I believe it to be a valuable enhancement to the skills we are learning in class. Students without home Internet access may sign up to use our class computer after school.

*With Parent Internet Approval.
